حصلت إدارة مكافحة المخدرات بالمنطقة الشرقية على موافقة نهائية من الجهات المعنية في
توظيف عدد من النساء في إدارة المكافحة بالمنطقة. وأكد مدير إدارة مكافحة المخدرات بالمنطقة الشرقية العميد عبدالله بن عبدالرحمن الجميل لـ اليوم الخبر وقال: بعد حصولنا على الموافقة النهائية سوف نبدأ في استقبال طلبات التوظيف في الإدارة العامة لمكافحة المخدرات بالمنطقة الشرقية تمهيدا لإنهاء إجراءات توظيف عدد من الموظفات لحاجة بعض الأقسام للعنصر النسائي ويشترط في المتقدمة أن تكون حاصلة على شهادة جامعية، وكانت إدارة المخدرات بالمنطقة الشرقية تنتظر الميزانية الجديدة لفتح مجال وظائف نسائية بالإدارة، وأوضح العميد الجميل في وقت سابق أن عمل المرأة في مكافحة المخدرات يعتبر مهما جدا كونها تشارك في المداهمات النسائية والتفتيش كما تقوم بالتوعية وإقامة المعارض والندوات.
وذكر أن التعامل مع القضايا التي يكون فيها طرف نسائي مثل أي قضية أخرى تنظر في القضاء وتأخذ مجراها القانونى، مشيراً إلى أن قضايا المرأة في المخدرات تعتبر قليلة. وقال: إن الإدارة تقوم بنشاط توعوي سنوي في الشرقية يشمل محاضرات توعوية ودورات للمساعدات والمعلمات في المدارس لتساعد في تثقيفهن حيث أقيمت 5 دورات نسائية ورجالية للمعلمين خلال العام الماضي. من جهتها قالت مديرة قسم المساندة بجمرك مطار الملك فهد بالدمام ورئيسة اللجنة النسائية للبرامج التوعوية بمكافحة المخدرات في المنطقة الشرقية عايشة الشعبان: إن طبيعة العمل تقتصر على اعداد البرامج والمحاضرات والندوات والمعارض التوعوية التي تتناسب مع جميع فئات المجتمع وطبقاته..
